We reported few hours ago about the release of untethered Spirit jailbreak for Apple iDevice. Spirit is pretty simple and works very similar like Geohot’s blackra1n.

So, here are the steps for jailbreaking your iPad with Spirit:

Step 1: Download Spirit, latest version of iTunes 9.1.1.

Step 2: Back up your iPad in iTunes, save SHSH blobs.

Step 3: Run Spirit and then Click on “Jailbreak”

Step 4: Relax a bit and wait for the app processing. Next you’ll see “Jailbreak Complete!” message. At this point, wait for the iPad to automatically reboot.

Troubleshooting: If you are getting the C0000005 error on Windows 7 – Right click on Spirit.exe and select properties. Then click compatibility and select run in Windows 98 mode.
